The article deals with one of the universal models of polysemantic verbs and adjectives, namely, the one-dimensional model. Along with describing the model itself, this article also analyzes some issues connected with polysemy, such as the essence and status of the separate meanings of a polysemantic word and the role of context in the process of their realization. This article also examines the peculiarities of the lexical meanings of verbs and adjectives.Downloads
