The Tbilisi Sixth International Symposium on Tradition Polyphony

This academic forum has been held biennially in autumn since 2002 at the TbilisiVano Sarajishvili State Conservatoire. This event is organized by the InternationalCentre for Research on Traditional Polyphony, based in Tbilisi State University (polyphony.ge), which also publishes a bilingual collection of Symposium papers. This year’s forum was distinguished by a large number of foreign guests: 30 researchers from 15 countries. Fifteen participants visited the Symposium for the first time, indicating an increasing interest among ethnomusicologists from different countries in the Tbilisi Symposium.Downloads
