Abstract

This article deals with the Dolochopi Basilica (near the town of Kvareliin Georgia) discovered in 2004. A preliminary archaeological investigation of the ruins enables us to date the basilica to the turn of the sixth century and to revisit issues concerning the architectural construction of the first Christian churches in Georgia.
