“The Parable of the Country” and “Georgia”: The Bagrationis' Allegorical Paintings

The article examines allegorical paintings created by two members of the Georgian royal family in the 18th–19th centuries, which reflect the state of the country. Both works are analyzed within their contemporary historical context, and their shared fundamental semiotic codes are identified.
