Abstract

The book of Prof. Sergo Vardosanidze The Patriarchs of the 20th Century Georgian Orthodox Apostolic Church describes the history of the Georgian Church in the 20th century, covering the activities of four Georgian Patriarchs. The analysis of extensive primary materials brings new insights into the period that witnessed Tsarist and Soviet persecutions and the post-Soviet turmoil.
