The 8th International Symposium of Traditional Polyphony

Abstract

Tbilisi Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatoire hosted the 8th International Symposium on Traditional Polyphony on September 26-30, 2016. The Symposium, which comprises paper sessions, concerts and cultural events, is the only international forum in Georgia devoted to Georgian traditional music. It has been held biannually since 2002 and is organized by the International Research Center for Traditional Polyphony of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, the International Centre for Georgian folk song and the Folklore State Centre of Georgia.
