The focus of the paper is one of the most important elements of archaic anthropology menhirs in Georgian mythic-ritual system.
Gathered ethnographic data on the above mentioned monuments revealed new facts and respectively provided a new basis for new considerations in the region of their occurrences. The most important among them probably was that they had been used and functioning on the new religious level.
